The first game on the plate is the ever popular Crysis Warhead which is the latest game from Crytek. This game and Crysis stresses video card performance like few others even with the release of DirectX 11 games. Crysis Warhead was playable at 1024x768 with gamer settings on the HD 5550. While not near the performance of the HD 5870, this is a decent upgrade over the integrated graphics.

Just Cause 2 is another game recently released. This game has your character try and create as much mayhem and destruction as possible. The game is DirectX 10.0 based and was playable at 1280x1024resolution on the HD 5550 from Sapphire. The game is a lot of fun and can be enjoyed on the HD 5550 if you donít expect it to run flawlessly at 1920x1200 as on the more expensive cards.

The first time I saw an Alien come out of a characterís chest in Alien I was scared shitless. Seeing a Predator take out the likes of Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura in Predator I figured it would be an awesome fight if the two species fight each other. I got my wish in Aliens Versus Predator the game released by Sega. This game plays ok on the HD 5550 with decent frame rates if the resolution is set to 1280x1024.
