The Eyefinity 6 Edition of the HD 5870 is a very interesting card. For the business professional that requires a lot of screen space the Eyefinity 6 card is perfect. The stock trader that requires a lot of screen real estate will also love this card as the ability to run 6 monitors on a single card. There are a ton of other uses for this card that go beyond gaming. As far as gaming goes, the Eyefinity 6 Edition card is a RADEON HD 5870 in every respect with high performance in DirectX 10 and 9 games with six monitors running at maximum resolution and decent performance in DirectX 11 games. I would not suggest playing DirectX 11 games with maximum resolution across 6 monitors as the card is a little bit underwhelming in those situations. Playing Dirt 2 at 5040x2100 resolution is an excellent example of 6-monitor gaming with full field of view across all 6 monitors and good performance. First Person Shooters have issues with the targeting crosshairs as they tend to be in the center of the center two monitors making targeting a little weird. Sapphire’s card is an excellent example of the new generation of cards where three or more monitor support is necessary for the best gaming experience.
