ATI has ruled the roost in terms of both performance and features since late last year when they released the RADEON HD 5870. Today marks the launch of NVIDIA’s first DirectX 11 supporting video cards, the GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470 cards which is based upon the new GF100 architecture. NVIDIA has spent four years designing this chip series and it is meant to compete against ATI’s single chip card, the HD 5870. The GeForce GTX 470 is designed to compete against the HD 5850 card in terms of performance and price and today marks NVIDIA’s return to the video card wars. Let’s see how they do.
