DVD and CD logos

Left side
The front of the drive has the Blu-ray logo, followed by the ASUS logo, the DVD-R RW logo, the DVD Multi-Recorder logo and the CD recorder logo on the front door. Below the door on the right hand side is an open button with an activity light to the left of that and a eject hole above the open door button. The top of the drive has the part number and FCC Compliance stickers.
The back of the drive has the standard SATA Data and Power connectors. This drive has a maximum throughput of 36MB/second or 288Megabits/second and will hardly saturate the SATA 1.5Gigabit/second or 3.0 Gigabit/second bus so it should work with any modern motherboard with a free SATA port. Note the lack of a legacy audio connector as found on older DVD drives.

Drive installed
Installation was a breeze with the case we used the Cooler Master UCP-100. The first step is to remove the bezel cover from the front of the case. At this point we took the ASUS drive, slid it into place and secured it with screws. After installing the motherboard and other drives we hooked up a SATA Power and Data cable and the system was ready to test with. Software installation was a matter of inserting the BD Suite DVD into the drive and installing it.
