Installation of this unit was as simple as can be. As the silver thermal paste tape is already applied, simply remove the CPU mounting bracket and back plate from the motherboard and choose the correct mounting bracket and back plate to replace it from the kit. In our case we use an AMD Phenom II 940 CPU for all testing that is clocked at 3.0GHz.

The first step was to mount the radiator/fan onto the back of the case where the rear fan normally goes. As the unit has a 120mm fan this easily replaces the normal fan found on the case. After installing the CPU into the AMD Socket AM2+ Socket, I mounted the CPU bracket onto the water cooling block and placed it in place. The next step is to screw in the four screws on the bracket and plug in the 3-pin power cord. The installation process is the most pain-free of any water cooling I have ever seen.

The system we use for testing CPU coolers is rather interesting. The case is a CoolerMaster HAF922 which has excellent airflow for cooling the system components. The motherboard is a XFX GeForce 8200 motherboard with integrated graphics but to maintain the general feeling of the system we used an ASUS HD 5770 video card. We used a Corsair Memory cooler. The testing was done with Windows Vista and was done with both the standard CPU cooler and with the Corsair H50 water cooler.
