The card is covered completely by a large heatsink. There are two GPU fans on the heatsink that cools down the graphics card in operation. In operation I barely was able to hear the fans at all on an open-air test bench. MSI ships the card with plastic covers for the PCI Express, the Crossifre bridge and the lock.

The back of the card has the Part Number and Serial Number sticker. This sticker covers the mounting plate for the graphics chip. The card itself has 1GB of GDDR5 memory with four memory chips on the back of the card and four on the front of the card. There is a two-pin connector on the top right hand side of the card for the V-Check leads.

The back of the card has a 6-pin power connector to provide the extra power to the card beyond the 75W provided by the PCI Express slot. AMD says the card consumes up to 108W under stress. The top of the card has two fan connectors for the two fans on the cooling solution. There is also a Crossfire bridge connector. The Rear I/O bracket on the card has a DVI-I connector, a HDMI connector and a DisplayPort connector, with D-sub supported via an included adapter.
