The 5.25 inch drives are installed on the upper right hand compartment. The Level 10 case has room for up to three 5.25 inch drives. The modern computer uses 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch drive sizes for the HDDs and SSD drives. Most people will have a Blu-ray drive and a DVD-RW drive combination to play back the latest and greatest movies and burn DVDs that contain software.

To install a 5.25 inch drive you need to remove the cover for the drive first. The procedure is to pull the drive up and outward removing the assembly after unlocking the ODD/HDD lock. Under the cover is a rack with three 5.25 inch bays. Two of the bays have a slot that needs to be removed if a drive is to be installed there. The top drive bay is used by simply sliding the DVD into the rack and screwing it in.
