Opening the box we find that ECS has gone the minimalist route with the bundle for the new card. As the target market is on the below $100 price range, the lack of a games bundle is understandable. Inside the box the card is on the top compartment with the driver CD and Graphics Card User Manual on top of the card and the accessories on the bottom of the box.

ECS uses an Arctic Cooler Accelero L2 Pro as the primary cooling system for their GeForce GT240 512MB card. This offers a 2000RPM fan which is slower than the reference 2700RPM fan found on the GeForce 9800GTX. ECS says the Accelero L2 Pro has an ambient temperature much lower than that of the reference cooler and with lower loudness (Sone (loudness) is used instead of dB (sound intensity). In practice the Accelero L2 Pro had a temperature of 29C on idle.
