The card is a little longer than an inch longer than a standard PCI Express x16 slot. This card is excellent for fitting into a HTPC as there is no extra power required by the card and it is short, making it easy to fit into a small form factor PC. The card itself is GIGABYTE’s trademark purple color. The fan is a 11-fin fan sitting on top of a heatsink. The heatsink is also purple.

This card is not capable of SLI connection with another GT220 or other NVIDIA video card so there are no SLI bridges on the card. The rear of the card has the Serial Number sticker and the GPU mounting screws of which there are four. Despite being a mainstream card targeted for the $79 price range, the card is dual slot requiring two adjacent slots to install.

The I/O area of the card is interesting in a couple of ways. First there is a HDMI connection. This HDMI connection is gold plated. Gold plating on a HDMI connector provides the user with excellent data transmission and maximum protection from Electro Magnetic Interference compared with the normal nickel plated HDMI connector. It supports full HD resolution meaning you can connect it to your HDTV. Also present is a D-Sub connector and a Dual-Link DVI-I connector.
