Sapphire bundles their card in a black box with the female character on the front cover. The main features of the card including 1GB GDDR5, ATI Eyefinity, DirectX 11, pci Express 2.0, CrossfireX Ready and 2 TeraFLOPS processing power inform the user of what they are getting. The rear of the box has the Product Highlights and explanations of the main features.

Opening the box we find the card is packaged inside a brown cardboard box with a tray holding the card on top. The accessories are on the bottom tray. The Driver CD and User Manual lie on top of the tray. Overall the packaging is neat and tidy and protects the card from damage in shipping. Sapphire has not included a coupon for Dirt 2 with this card but the card comes with it in retail as shown on their website.

ATI has released a set of drivers called ATI certified HD 5800 series drivers. As we move further into October we will see official drivers with native support for the HD 5850 and HD 5870. Sapphire includes a set of drivers with the card which works but I would suggest using the ATI certified drivers. Sapphire offers a 2 year warranty on their video card products including this HD 5850.
