The card itself is a copy of the reference design with little differences on the card cooler. The RADEON HD 5850 logo is on the center of the front of the card. The card has a 47-fin fan on the rear area of the front of the card. The XFX logo is on the fan. Otherwise the card looks and is a reference design with core clocks of 725MHz, Memory clocks of 1GHz (4GHz effective).

The back side of the card has the Part Number and Serial Number stickers. The rear of the card itself has two 6-pin power connectors to attach power cords to. The top of the card has two Crossfire bridges that are used to install two or more cards in CrossfireX mode. In order to run in CrossfireX mode you need two or more of the same type of card i.e. HD 5850, and a motherboard that supports Crossfire (i.e. X58, P55).

The front of the card has the I/O on the card. The XFX card has two Dual-Link DVI ports, an HDMI port and a DisplayPort port. This allows a multitude of monitor types to be installed. Up to three monitors can be installed using ATI’s Eyefinity technology. You can attach up to three HDMI monitors, three DVI monitors or even three VGA monitors, assuming you have the correct adapters and monitors to support them.
