I did a little something different with this launch. Intel has used Turbo mode on their processors before but with limited overclocking. With the Lynnfield family I decided to run all tests with Turbo Boost mode enabled then run them with it disabled. Note that Turbo Boost frequency is dependent on the operating conditions of the CPU.

  • ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB running Catalyst 9.8 Drivers
  • Cooler Master Ultimate 1000W PSU
  • Thermalright MUX-120 CPU cooler
  • Windows Vista with SP1 installed
