This particular Fortress unit is a black color. The Fortress is also available in silver depending on which you prefer. Starting at the front of the case, we see that SilverStone has included five 5.25" drive bays for optical drives. Below that is the rectangular reset button. This is a decent sized button, in contrast to some of the pinhole sized buttons on other cases. Below that is the SilverStone logo covering the front 180mm fan grill.

The top of the case has the FP I/O of the case. SilverStone includes a Firewire port, two USB 2.0 ports and the Audio and Mic jacks for the FP Audio. Also on top of the case is the grill for the top 180mm fan. The right side of the case is a standard black color. The left side of the case has a window allowing the user to see inside the case and show off the internal components. The side panels are held in place by Quick release latches on the back.

To release the side panel, simply remove the thumb screws and lift up the quick release latch. The rear of the case has a 120mm fan that has low noise levels. There are seven openings for PCI devices on the rear with holes on the covers for proper airflow. The top of the rear area has two holes for a liquid cooling system. The PSU is mounted on the bottom of the case with a bottom vent to allow better airflow through the case.
