The HD 4650 is not a powerhouse for gaming as it is targeted at the $50 price range. Having said that, the card is an excellent upgrade for those having an Intel integrated graphics solution as the card has higher performance and better features than the GMA4500HD video chipset found on the latest Intel G45 motherboards.

Left 4 Dead is the latest game from Valve, the makers of the acclaimed Half Life series of games. The game stars you as part of a team of four survivors of a zombie-like plague. You face a variety of enemies in this survival horror game. While I have played this game on a variety of video cards over the last few months, the HD 4650 plays this game well, with decent framerates throughout.

Tom Clancy was one of my favorite authors of the 1980s and early 1990s. The author of such books as “The Hunt For Red October” and “Patriot Games”, Tom Clancy has defined what a military techno-thriller is along with Dale Brown and Stephen Coontz. Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. is one of the first games to support DirectX 10.1 mostly giving a speed improvement over DX 10.0 cards. The HD 4650 played well with this game.
