The first game I tried on the Sapphire Vapor-X HD 4890 was Tom Clancy's HAWX game. This is based upon the same universe as the Ghost Recon series and stars you as a pilot in the HAWX team. You fly through a series of increasingly difficult missions with various aircraft against air, naval and ground targets. The game features DirectX 10.1 support on improving frame rate and plays wonderfully on the Sapphire card.

Left 4 Dead is the latest game from Valve, the makers of Half Life 2 which defined the DirectX 9.0c graphics with the story of Gordon Freeman. Left 4 Dead is a survival horror game with zombie like enemies attacking in ever-increasing waves of speed and numbers. The game's creators recently announced Left 4 Dead 2 the sequel. The game uses DirectX 9.0c graphics to good effect and the HD 4890 is fully playable with this game at all resolutions and settings.

FUEL is the latest racing game from Codemasters. The game was released on June 2nd 2009 to a lot of acclaim. The game is available on the Xbox 360, the PS3 and the PC. FUEL uses a proprietary graphics engine to show off a post-apocalyptic racing genre. The game looks and plays great on the Radeon HD 4890 with high frame rates even at 1920x1200 resolutions the maximum my monitor can display. The engine is DirectX 9.0c but still looks great.
