The first game I tried out on the Gigabyte GV-R465D2-1GI card was Crysis Warhead, the latest game from the makers of Crysis. Crysis Warhead takes a bit of horsepower to run efficiently. I was able to play the game pretty smoothly at 1280x1024 resolution with the Mainstream settings enabled in the game. The Enthusiast setting was totally unplayable on the AGP card at that resolution.

Enemy Territory Quake Wars is an example of a game that uses OpenGL instead of DirectX. Quake Wars was completely playable at 1280x1024 with maximum settings and anisotropic filtering set to 16x, with frame rates exceeding 50 fps throughout. DirectX 9 games play extremely well on the HD 4650 as it is designed to be a mainstream card.

Left 4 Dead is one of those games that you either love or hate. I love the game for its survival horror theme but think the storyline could be better fleshed out with more enemies and scarier moments. Left 4 Dead stars four characters trying their best to survive a plague, which has turned humans into zombie like creatures. The game plays great on the HD 4650 AGP card from GIGABYTE with it being fully playable at 1280x1024 resolutions.
