The Raven RV01 has a revolutionary feature called stack effect design. This has the following benefits: More efficient airflow, quieter operation, less dust build-up and prevents heavy expansion cards from warping. Due to the design of the Raven RV01 the air in the case has the natural tendency to rise up. This allows fans pushing air up to achieve better airflow and efficiency. Due to the increased efficiency, lower speed fans can be used to effectively cool the case and its components.
The area where the graphics cards and CPU are located is completely sealed off from the exterior on the RAVEN case. Noise that is normally generated from the heatsink fans, hard drives graphics cards etc. don't have a patch to the outside as some cases with large vents on the side panel, meaning the case operates quieter than those cases. The RAVEN RV01 is designed to blow air in a parallel direction to the motherboard expansion slots meaning that dust doesn't fall back and accumulate on the expansion cards.
SilverStone has taken innovation to new heights with the design of the RAVEN RV01. High-end video cards like the Radeon HD 4870 x2 and GeForce GTX 295 are getting heavier than ever meaning that the board may have damage due to warping because of the weight. The motherboard is installed with the expansion slots facing upwards instead of out the back of the case. This allows the graphics card to be mounted on the stronger chassis rear plate of the case, which is stronger than the board. The direction of the video cards also allows dust doesn't fall onto the installed video cards.
