Sapphire bundles the card in a black box with a Silver Surfer looking character on the front cover. The main features of the card including 1GB of GDDR5 memory, PCI-E Version 2.0, and the included bundle software is listed on the front cover. The rear of the box has a listing of the main features of the card along with a description of the features. Opening the box we find Sapphire has bundled their card with a cardboard tray. The card is in an anti-static bag on the top tray with the accessories on the bottom tray. The Driver CD, the 3DMark Vantage DVD, the Power DVD and the DVD Suite software bundle lies under the tray. There is a bonus DVD-ROM called Ruby ROM which contains some game demos wallpapers and more. Driver shotsATI releases a new driver every month called Catalyst drivers. The latest drivers being Catalyst 9.6 were released last month. The drivers gives the gamer complete control over the FSAA, AF, and many other settings of the video card including clock speed and fan speed when the Overdrive is enabled. The card can do 8x MSAA and up to 24x Coverage Filter AA when it is enabled. Using the latest drivers I was able to overclock the Sapphire card to 810/1100 Core/Memory speed completely stable. Using the default fan speed temperatures reached 65C when idle. Running 3DMark Vantage caused the temperatures to reach 72C using HW Monitor to monitor the temperatures. Turning up the fan speed to 100% all of the time caused a much louder noise from the fan. Temperatures fell, however, to 43C idle with 100% fan speed and 56C under stress. Contents:
