Eventually we will move to a Core i7 system for the video card test platform. For now, the Core 2 Extreme QX9770 is still a fast CPU with a decent system to back it up. Games are constantly being released but we have a stable of DirectX 10 and DirectX 9.0 games in our benchmark suite. The Vapor-X Radeon HD 4870 2G card should perform on par with the HD 4870 1GB card with performance increases where memory is the deciding factor.
