In-Win X-Fighter AL-13 Series Case Review :: Interior
Opening the case was easy due to the clips on each side of the case. No need to use a screwdriver to loosen the screws and remove it, just simply open the clips and slide out the side. The left side door cover has a funnel that covers the CPU area and a grill that covers the graphics card area. The grill under the funnel and the other grill can be removed for cleaning. Under the side panel is In Win's unique thermal funnel system to cool the graphics cards. There are two 80mm fans on the funnel system which covers the entire PCI expansion area of the case. When combined with the normal cooling on a graphics card, this should provide cooler running temperatures for the graphics card(s) in the system. The motherboard area of the case has four metal standoffs already installed that are common to both micro ATX and full sized ATX motherboards. Install the other four standoffs included with the case and you will secure the motherboard to the case. The rear of the case has the mounting for the 120mm rear fan. Removing the graphics card cooling funnel reveals seven PCI/AGP slots with each slot having a plastic clip for holding the devices in place. The front cover of the case comes easily off; just push on two tabs holding the cover in place. Behind the front cover is the four 5.25" and two 3.5" drives. The bottom 5.25" drive bay has a drawer that contains the rail covers for the optical and HDDs on the system. The top two 5.25" drive bays can be installed by inserting a drive rail on each side and sliding it into place. The bottom two 5.25" drive bays can be installed by sliding the drive rails and screwing it into place. There are two HDD racks each supporting up to two 3.5" drives below the FDD racks. In front of the HDD racks is a 120mm fan providing extra cooling to the HDDs in place.
