Motherboards.org Editor's Choice Winner

Access times reflect the time of how long it takes from the start of an access point to actual access of the information, the lower score here is the better. As you can see the SSD drive whoops everybody in this category, with the VelociRaptor taking second, the standard Raptor third and the WD 2TB dead last on this one. Access times refer to the length of time it takes the drive to position the drive head on the platter for the appropriate function. The reason for this slower score is due to the high capacity of the drive and he four platters involved in its makeup. The Access Arm has to move around very quickly and is the Achilles heel of most hard drives, especially those of high capacity storage.
