The design is notable for its silent operating characteristics. Sileo stands for a silent case series and this case has acoustic foam sound insulation which greatly reduces the noise put out by the computer. A major source of noise on a case is vibration. The Sileo 500 has anti-vibration noise reduction pads which reduce vibration and further reduces noise. The case is made out of SECC steel with an aluminum bezel. The weight of the case is around 17.6 pounds or 8 kilograms.
