XFX GeForce 275 GTX 896MB DDR3 Core Edition GX 275X-AHFF Review :: Gaming
I've been playing a lot of Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. game and it shows by the amount of time I spend on the game in video card reviews. The game uses DirectX 10.1 or 10.0 depending on the video card installed. It played well throughout the various resolutions and settings I tried it on the GeForce GTX 275 card from XFX. Cryostasis is the latest game to use PhysX while playing it. The water drips down realistically in the game to pool at your feet with it on. The game also allows objects to float or sink in water. Cryostasis is the first game to use PhysX to totally simulate water. The game plays ok on the GeForce GTX 275 with all effects on including PhysX but at times the frame rate goes below the 10fps with high resolutions. If you ever wanted to manage a soccer team from various countries and leagues, FIFA Manager 09 is the game for you. Featuring a seemingly never-ending series of options including trades, ticket sales, training and more the game is a full simulation of a season of an international soccer team. The GeForce GTX 275 played this game with ease. The 3D games played smoothly without slowdown. Left 4 Dead is a zombie attack game of highest quality in my opinion. Much like Capcom's Resident Evil series you face a rush of zombies that make up the vast majority of the city you are trapped in. The game uses the Source engine that was developed for Half Life 2 (DirectX 9.0 graphics) and plays extremely well on the XFX GeForce GTX 275 card with frame rates in the fifties throughout even at high resolutions and settings.
