Keeping in mind the target audience of this card performance is not the primary factor. To show comparative price/performance data I tested it against a HD 4670, a HD 4850, a GTS 250 and a 4770 as these cards are all priced within $10 of each other online. The GeForce 9600GT should lose in every situation that the extra memory doesn't help, but that's not the point.
