Far Cry 2 is the latest game in the franchise that has spanned two games, a number of expansions and an arcade game. Utilizing DirectX 10.0 effects for the water, weather and more Far Cry 2 is set in an un named African country. The game plays well on the HD 4770 with frame rates in the 30s throughout at maximum resolution.
Tom Clancy wrote some of my favorite novels growing up including The Hunt For Red October, Patriot Games, The Sum of All Fears and many others. Clancy, who hasn't written a new novel in years, licensed the characters and stories to make several video games. HAWX is the name of the latest game based upon Clancy's work. The game uses DirectX 10.1 effects and the Radeon HD 4770 from XFX plays the game extremely well.
Necrovision is the new First Person Shooter from Farm 51. Set in World War 1, the game focuses on the story of a soldier battling demons and vampires and of course German soldiers. If the story sounds a bit like Castle Wolfenstein meets Doom, that's because it is. The graphics engine on the game is based upon the DirectX 9.0C feature set and plays extremely well with the HD 4770 video card. The game uses Havok physics technology which the ATI HD 4770 can make use of.
