MSI N260GTX Lightning Black Edition Video Card Review :: Gaming
Mirror's Edge is the type of game that is game changing when talking about effects. Realistic physics effects like destructible terrain, realistically behaving smoke and cloth and more. The game's heroine is a Runner that tries very hard to escape. The game requires a card that supports PhysX to really shine as while you can play the game on a HD 4890 with it enabled. The N260GTX Black Lightning Edition played it extremely well with PhysX enabled fully playable. Tom Clancy is the master of the techno thriller that is basically living off the stories and characters he developed over the years. Ghost Recon is one of his concepts of a counter-terrorism unit in the future. The HAWX program provided support to the GR units. HAWX is one of the first games to fully support DirectX 10.1 but it also has a DirectX 10.0 fallback. This game played well at 1920x1200 with 4x AA and 16x AF throughout the first few missions of the game. One of the first DirectX 9.0 games to be released was First Encounter Assault Recon. The second game in the series builds upon the original with wider levels, better AI and slightly better graphics. FEAR2 was released just a few months ago. FEAR 2 plays well on the MSI card with 1920x1200 and 4x AA 16x AF playable. In this case the extra memory on the card helps a bit. Empire: Total War is the latest game in the Total War series and is a turn based strategy game with real time tactics in battles. You choose an 18th century faction and try to dominate the world via military, politics, economics and diplomacy. The battles are fought in real-time on both land and sea (a first for the series.) The battles take place across battlefields with large numbers of troops and beautiful scenery including trees, grass and more. The naval battles are fought over an ocean with waves and beautifully rendered ships. The real time battles played extremely well on the MSI card with no slowdowns. Game screenshotsContents:
