Tom Clancy is the master storyteller of military fiction and techno thrillers like the Hunt for Red October, The Sum of All Fears and more. His stories and games based upon the people and weapons he writes about from the “Clancyverse”. Tom Clancy's HAWX is the latest game from Ubisoft and is set in the Ghost Recon universe. The game uses DirectX 10.1 to improve performance and it plays well on the HD 4770, averaging 30-60 fps throughout the resolution spectrum.

Mirror's Edge is a game that redefines what hardware physics can do in a game. While hardware physics requires the use of a PhysX equipped video card to play exactly as it should, the game can be played on other platforms including the Radeon HD 4770. I would not suggest running the game with PhysX turned on as the game's frame rate drops to single-digits with it enabled. Without PhysX, the game is perfectly playable on the HD 4770.

First Encounter Assault Recon or F.E.A.R. was one of the first DirectX 9.0 games released for the PC. The second game was recently released called F.E.A.R 2. This game uses an updated version of the graphics engine of the first game and supports DirectX 9.0 effects. The game plays great on the HD 4770 from Gigabyte with all resolutions fully playable. The game had frame rates in the 60s throughout the first two areas of the game. This game is an excellent showcase of DX9.0 graphics with effects like smoke, fire and slow motion firefights throughout the game.

I am a big fan of Role Playing Games like Final Fantasy XII and many others from Squaresoft/Enix. The Last Remnant is a new RPG from the masters of the RPG genre. You develop a party of adventurers trying to solve various quests throughout the game. The game uses the Unreal Engine 3 and has classical graphics. The game is simply beautiful on the PC with almost hand drawn 3D characters battling against hordes of enemies. The HD 4770 plays this game with ease.
