The card itself is similar in shape and size to the GeForce GTX260 that it is analogous to on the consumer side of things for video cards. The cooler is identical to the cards based on the GT200 chip. The words "NVIDIA Quadro CX" are printed to the left of the cooling fan. The cooling fan itself is a 47-fin fan that is at the rear of the PCB front.
The rear of the card has a similar design to other GT200 cards. Two grills on the rear cover the PCB. The top of the card has a single SLI bridge so you can double up on the performance by adding another Quadro CX card. The rear of the PCB has a single 6-pin power connector. The card has a maximum power draw of 150W.
An important part of the card is the Front IO area. Normally a video card today for the consumer market has two Dual-Link DVI ports. The Quadro CX has a single Dual-Link DVI port, but also has two DisplayPort ports, the latest connection for monitors. The last output on the I/O area is for the stereo 3D that NVIDIA is pushing as a big leap forward in gaming immersion.
