Thermaltake Spedo Advanced Package Case Review :: Interior
Taking off the side panel you can see where the Advanced Thermal Chamber 3. Under that area is where the motherboard tray is located. Unfortunately, the motherboard tray is not removable but there is plenty of room to install the motherboard after screwing in the standoffs. The PCI slots are all tool less, allowing you to forgo the screwdriver on motherboard installation. Moving over to the drive area, it is pretty clear that Thermaltake spent a lot of time figuring out the best configuration of drives. There are four 5.25" drive bays on top, six HDD bays, and then three more 5.25" drive bays. Note you can remove the HDD bays individually or take out a stack of three drive bays in each HDD rack. You can install a 3.5" converter bay to install an external FDD. The cooling on this case is nothing short of extraordinary with six included fans and two optional fans. The included fans include two 230mm fans one on the top of the case the other on the left side door. The PSU area has room for two more 120mm fans that are included with the packaging. There is a seventh fan on the case accessories box, allowing you to almost fully use the Spedo case without buying another fan. Thermaltake decided to do something rather unique with their Spedo case, having a Wireless Side Panel Fan. This concept delivers power to the fan when the side panel is locked in place. Next to the drive bays is a contraption called the Fan Bar. Thermaltake includes a 120mm fan with the case to install in this position, keeping HDDs cool in combination with the front intake fan.
