Thermaltake Spedo Advanced Package Case Review :: Exterior
Starting from the front of the case, we can see that there are little mini doors that resemble the Thermaltake Armor mini-doors. There are 12 mesh covers on the front of the case behind which there are four 5.25" bays on the top, separated by a gap for the HDD cage install then three more 5.25" drive bays on the bottom of the case. The top of the case has a distinctive design, almost like exhaust vents on the top of the computer. Behind that is a honeycombed area for more fans. The Front Panel IO area is located on the top of the case. It consists of the HD Audio jack, a Microphone jack, two USB 2.0 ports and an external SATA port. This is normal for modern high-end cases. The Power and Reset buttons are located on the right side of the front of the case. The rear of the case has two holes for water-cooling located on the top of the case where the PSU normally lies next to the two 120mm fans. Below the second fan is the IO area for the motherboard and below that lies 8 PCI slots with seven of them having flip top plastic covers. The bottom area of the case has room for the PSU. Note that while the case is certified for PS2 PSUs the longer PSUs now on the market also fit. The right side of the case has two areas for which you can view the inside of the case. The left side of the case has a windowed opening for the side door that covers the 230mm side fan and a little more than that. The 230mm side fan is right over the area where the video cards and CPU cooler would normally be located on a case, providing more than adequate cooling for that area of the case. The bottom of the case has four feet that slide in and out that hold the case upright.
