The front of the case has a door with eight grills for the front cover. Behind the door is the four racks for the HDD. Each HDD has a separate lock which can be locked with the included keys. There are five LEDs on the left side of the device. The five LEDs are Power On, Busy, WAN light, LAN light, Error light. Under the LEDs is a USB 2.0 port and the Power Switch. Under the Drive bays is the LCM module.

The rear of the unit has a 120mm fan grill for the fan on the unit. The cover on the unit is held into place by three thumb screws. The bottom of the unit has the Power Supply which is a 200W PSU, sufficient for the power efficient AMD Geode CPU and motherboard. Next to the PSU is where the two RJ45 jacks for the Gigabit LAN are located. Above the RJ45 jacks are two USB 2.0 ports.

After taking out the screws and removing the cover, the inside of the case is laid bare. The CPU is covered by a single heatink, with the memory inserted sideways to the motherboard in a slot. A cable to the USB 2.0 ports is attached to the motherboard USB header. Otherwise the insides are bare, as to be expected from a low-power system designed to handle files.
