Mirror's Edge is the latest game from Electronic Arts, one of the biggest videogame companies. This game features a world where you can and must escape from the enemy. This is one of the first A list titles to feature support for NVIDIA's PhysX software. The game plays well on the HD 4850 from ASUS with PhysX support being the only reason that the game doesn't play as well as on the NVIDIA counterparts.

The second game I want to talk about is Call Of Duty World At War. This is the latest game in the franchise that has released a new game every holiday season. COD: WAW is based in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. Using DirectX 9 class graphics the HD 4850 should power through this game without problems as to frame rate even with maximum resolution and settings. COD: WAW is a good example of DirectX 9.0 graphics.

Far Cry was one of those games that conceptualized the idea of DirectX 8.0 graphics with pixel shaders and vertex shaders throughout, it was one of the first games to take advantage of the GeForce 3 family. The sequel, Far Cry 2 uses a whole new graphics engine that takes advantage of DirectX 10 class video cards like the HD 4850. Far Cry 2 plays well on the HD 4850 with smooth frame rates throughout the game.

Left 4 Dead is a zombie game that is kind of like Resident Evil in many ways just less linear. You take the role of a member of a group of survivors that try to kill and escape a horde of zombies. This game is based upon DX9 graphics and plays well on the EAH4850 MATRIX/512M/A card with all resolutions and settings available to it.
