The Toast case has one special feature which distinguishes it from almost every other case on the market today. The front of the case has no visible drive 5.25" drive bays. The case has a vertical CD tray that is opened by pushing a button on the left hand side of the case that ejects the CD tray. This works rather well as a LG DVD-RW worked without issue. GMC has patented this technology and it also is present in other GMC cases like the R3 Corona which I'll review in the third part of this article.

The second thing to notice is the size of the case. The case measures only 290mm tall. Considering that the standard ATX motherboard has dimensions of 305x244, this means that there is little room for the 5.25" drive bays. GMC's use of the vertical drive bay allows the case to work without problems. To go along with the size the case weighs a mere 3.5Kg or less than 8 pounds. The material GMC uses is steel, meaning that this should be pretty sturdy.

Rear of case
The exterior of the case is rather easy to describe. The front of the case has a radial design with a GMC logo. The Power button is on the bottom of the case. The Front Panel IO is on top of the case and consists of two USB 2.0 ports and two audio jacks. This area also contains the Reset button. The left side of the case has the CD eject button. The rear of the case has the two grills for the mounting of the 80mm fans. The side doors are held into place by two thumb screws. There is a funnel on the side door and a long grill below the funnel.
