In terms of features, the Noblesse K-2 EBONY case is targeted at the multimedia Home Theater PC. The case has features like an Infrared Remote Control, a Vacuum Fluorescent Display with 2x16 lines, and fan control for the front and rear fans. Another key feature of this case is the screwless ODD and HDD installation, meaning that it is easier than ever to install drives on the case.
The Infrared Remote Control is a standard for HTPCs. After all, if you are using a computer as an Entertainment center it wouldn't do at all to have to get up off the couch to change the channel. UI based control schemes are cool but in the long run having a remote control handle the HTPC functions of the software makes a lot of sense compared to the alternatives. The IR Remote on the K2 Noblesse case is fully functional and able to do everything a normal remote control can.
GMC uses iMedian software to control their multimedia portion of the EBONY case. The software controls the VFD and the remote control in Windows. The software has a world time and weather clock, a RSS reader widget, and a volume control that is present in the form of a big blue button in Windows. The button is in an inconvenient location for most users but can be moved or faded so it is less inconspicuous. The iMedian software has a virtual keyboard so if you need a keyboard and don't have a physical one for your media center this works for you. Another nice feature of the iMedian software is the ability to change the task or resolution of the monitor on the fly.
