XFX 9800GTX Plus Black Edition Review :: XFX GeForce 9800GTX+ Black Edition Bundle

XFX chose to include a new game that has just hit the shelves and is still hot in the form of Far Cry 2, which just came out a couple of weeks back. The Black Edition 9800GTX+ is targeted towards the higher end of the $200 range, the game bundle is important to show off the new card's prowess. In any event, the Driver CD contains the latest drivers XFX had available to them at the time of release, the Forceware 177.39s which are pretty recent. I would strongly suggest downloading the latest ones of NVIDIA's website 177.42 but these are the most recent drivers available.  Box rear  Card in box  Bundle Hardware wise the 9800GTX+ BE comes with a HDMI Audio cable as there is a HDMI Audio port on the card, a DVI-to D-sub adapter for analog monitors, and a 6-pin power to Molex adapter. Most PSUs come with at least one 6-pin power connector, meaning that you would only need the second one. If you have a PSU without a 6-pin power connector it may be time to upgrade, as the power provided by the PSU needs to be constant and only older PSUs don't have that connection. XFX decided not to include a manual in keeping with their environmental focus, including a Quick install Guide and a Tips booklet.
