It’s not really a fair fight to compare the HD 4550 with some of the mid-range and high-end cards on the market so I decided to compare the HD 4550 with EVGA’s 9500GT which is in the same price bracket as of today due to a MIR. The market for sub $50 video cards is a bit interesting in that it is almost always better to spend a few extra dollars and get the next step up. The 9500GT performed well throughout beating the ATI card in everything except Bioshock sometimes by a big margin.
