If you are going to buy a system it usually involves a whole lot of thought process, shopping around and then deciding who you want to buy from. This really does take some thought process as first off it’s your money, and secondly you do not want to get burned in any way, shape or form. That means research, and usually a bunch of your time invested in something that should be an easier point for you to get to. HP, Gateway and Alienware are the main companies that have made themselves into a household name, but others companies are in existence that offer the same competence and warranty programs and usually at a lower price point, as the name game comes with higher pricing.
NCIX has been around for a few years now and they are a company that functions in the USA as well as Canada. The system we received was built really well for the most part with cable management and wiring that was done competently. The features in the BIOS were set from the factory to their most proficient settings and the system needed no tinkering to get it to perform its best. The only real complaint I can muster up is that the aftermarket OEM Liquid CPU cooler does only an adequate job of keeping the CPU cool. There are other coolers that do a better overall job of keeping CPU temps down than this Asetek OEM product.
My overall experience from the shipping to support to testing and evaluating the system was a pleasant experience. Email correspondence took no more than 24 hours and the phone support was available during normal daytime working hours. Like most companies there is a restocking fee if you wish to return the system after 15 days, which is reasonable as you should know within that timeframe if the system is to your liking or not. NCIX seems to be on the right track and although here are always the chance of UPS/FedEx dropping your box NCIX does do a good job of packing the system, it could be a bit better with foam on the inside of the case to keep the CPU cooler or other parts from bring dislodged during shipping. Nothing is perfect, but if you are looking for a new PC NCIX is definitely a company worth considering for your buy. I give them an Editor’s Choice as my personal experience was much better than some other companies I have dealt with. NCIX makes a solid system, are pleasant to deal with and have good support for their customers, you can’t ask for much more than that.
