The first thing to note about the case is the front is made out of molded plastic. In fact much of the case is plastic with steel used for the body of the case. Cooler Master has designed the case to be very sturdy in appearance and function, despite the use of plastic on the front portion of the case. The case feels very solid when moving it around. The front of the case has 6 5.25” drive bays for optical drives. Each of the front plates on the front drive bays are of a mesh grill construction. To install or remove a 5.25” drive there’s a simple push-button mechanism that allows for easy removal.

The top of the case has a feature that some Cooler Master top-end cases feature in the form of a tray to put your extra stuff in like the screws, standoffs and other accessories the case comes with. The front panel IO is located on the top of the top 5.25” drive bays right below this tray. Cooler Master has gone the extra mile here too with four USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA Port, a Firewire port and two audio jacks for the Front Panel Audio. Behind the tray is the space for a 230mm fan.

The top area also has a radiator fill hole. To use this you need to install the radiator on the top of the case area. To use it simply remove the Fill port cover that is in the extras area and pour the liquid straight into the radiator. Right below the extras area is the Power and Reset buttons. Note that they are inscribed with the word Power, making the Power button accessible by touch alone. The rear of the case has holes for water cooling on the top but this area can also be used to install the PSU if you want. The bottom of the case has four holes where you can install wheels which allow for easy moving of the case from one room to another.

The side panels are interesting in that they have space for plenty of cooling. The left side panel has a grill with enough room for a 230mm fan. Above the side panel is a Plexiglas window allowing the user to see inside the case. The area for the side allows the user to put up to four 120mm fans, with two in the area of the 230mm fan. The front of the case has a grill for installation of another 230mm fan. The rear area of the case has room for a 140mm fan or a 120mm fan. The rear area has 7 PCI Slots for installation of add-on cards to the motherboard. One really interesting thing about this case is the ability to install the PSU on the top or the bottom of the case due to the layout.
