Lian-Li V1100 Black Case Review :: Lian Li PC-V1100 Black Plus Interior
Lian Li’s case came in a brown box which is fine for shipping, but not the retail packaging you would get if you bought this case at a store. The case came with a 120mm fan to cover the CPU area, and a 120mm fan to cover the video card area. Aside from the two fans are the usual complement of screws standoffs and a 5.25 to 3.5” adapter. One of the cool things about this case is the two 120mm fans over the window and on a separate funnel device that is adjustable. They both are removable but when installed may interfere with some after-market cooling solutions like the SilenX CPU cooler. However, they do add airflow to the case interior and are excellent for systems that have normal CPU coolers. There are six HDD spots on two removable HDD racks that are perpendicular to the case. The cool thing about this arrangement is that you can remove a few screws, the divider and a single HDD rack and install a long PSU into the case. Installing hard drives is as simple as sliding it into the rail and clicking it into place. There is a 120mm fan on the front of the HDD racks to cool them. Installing a motherboard may seem like a daunting task for a case that doesn’t have a removable motherboard tray. The Lian Li case requires the removal of the video card 120mm fan and the CPU fan funnel to mount the motherboard. The installation process is easy. There is also space for a 120mm fan on the area above the PSU due to the PSU location. Contents:
