Tagan Black Pearl Case Review

Tagan is a company that was founded in 2001 by a group of technical professionals from all over the world who gathered to discuss the growing problems associated with power supplies at the Taipei Computex show.  This discussion was the catalyst for the members of that conversation to learn more about the complexities of power supplies and what was needed to make them more reliable, stable and easy to work with for the end user.  Thus from that meeting the idea was born for the company Tagan to take shape and begin to form.

They now make a variety of products for the discerning end-user including PSUs, cases and HDD enclosures that all look very well. Their power supplies are well designed and Tagan offers up to 1300W ESA units that can power any system, be it Quad SLI or Crossfire based. Currently NVIDIA is pushing their new ESA technology that allows the main systems parts to be monitored in real time in NVIDIA platform systems and Tagan is on deck with their own series of ESA PSUs that should integrate well with that architecture. For this review we will be taking a hard look at their Black Pearl case and 1100W BZ Series PSU as we build an ESA system around these two components.
