For purposes of the testing I decided to use the fastest Intel motherboard available based upon the Intel X48 chipset, the P5E3 Deluxe motherboard from ASUS. This board has all of the features you would want from a new motherboard today and has the speed advantage over the ASUS P5E3 Premium WiFi-AP@n and the EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLI motherboards we’ve tested. The QX9770 CPU has 12MB of L2 cache and should outclass the competition easily.
