PCMark Vantage is the latest in the PCMark series that is put out by Futuremark, the makers of 3DMark06 and the upcoming 3DMark Vantage benchmark. Their HDD test gives an indication of hard drive performance in various normal everyday tasks for the hard drive including Windows Defender, gaming, importing pictures to Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Vista startup video editing using Windows Movie Maker and more. The Velociraptor is clearly higher performing in this test scoring 5800+ points versus the 4000+ points of the Raptor 74GB.
