The box comes with an interesting frog type guy in a space suit. This is the same character that is used in Palit’s 9600GT card box and may be their mascot. The basic specs of the card are also on the front of the box as well as the game bundle. The rear of the box has the detailed specifications of the card in 12 different languages.

Palit brought an excellent bundle to the 9800GTX. Many video card manufacturers have forsaken the game bundle with their cards, but Palit has included a full version of Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition with the card. Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition is a sort of re-imagined Tomb Raider that takes much of the storyline, enemies and locations of the first game in the series from 1996 and improves upon them graphically and with different locales.

Hardware-wise, the 9800GTX comes with the Driver CD, containing pre-release NVIDIA Forceware drivers (the card was released a week ago with new drivers what do you expect?), and a Quick Installation Guide, which is always helpful for the newbie. The DVI-D-Sub adapter allows analog CRT monitors to be used and the HDTV Out cable rounds out the bundle for the card.
