EVGA's card is approximately the same length as their last card the 8800GT SSC. EVGA used a reference cooler which covers the majority of the PCB. The EVGA 9600GT is a single slot video card meaning that it won't cover up a second video card slot when in operation. EVGA's artwork on their card front is that of a fire with the name of the card E-GEFORCE 9600GT on the bottom of the front of the card.

There is a 6-pin power connector to provide extra power to the card that it requires over the 75W the PCI Express x1 slot provides. EVGA did an excellent job designing their card as the power connector is in a notch in the heat sink. EVGA uses a 15-fin fan to cool the graphics chip. The 9600GT has a single SLI connector on the top of the card meaning that Tri-SLI is not a possibility with this card.

The rear of the card has EVGA's Serial Number and the part number. EVGA offers a Limited Warranty on all of their retail video cards and to activate the Warranty the user has to register the card on EVGA's website using that Serial Number. Also on the rear of the card are EVGA's stickers for the BIOS Version of the card, the part number of the card, and the country of manufacture of the card (China).

EVGA's 9600GT has the now standard Input Output bracket of two Dual-link DVI ports and a HDTV port. Dual monitors are supported via NVIDIA's drivers. The card can drive two monitors at the same time whether they are DVI or VGA. The 9600GT supports HDMI connections but this card does not have the connectors to use the new monitor standard. There are some 9600GT cards with the new connection, however.
