So the headphones are comfortable, they have a great detachable MIC and the cord is long enough to accommodate any desk arrangement you may have. But that means nothing if they do not sound good. Thankfully all that aesthetic engineering Tritton put into the outside of the headphones is mirrored inside.

These headphones faithfully recreate true 5.1 sounds that you would normally find in full surround sound speaker system. Earth shaking bass included. Putting these headphones on for the first time and turning on a great movie like Black Hawk Down. You can hear every gunshot wiz past and every explosion shakes your head as if it went off right next to you. It really gives you that theater experience without the 800watt home theater system or even the theater itself.

After a couple movies it was time to jump into some serous gaming. The first game I fired up was Americas Army, Normally when a grenade or flash bang goes off near you the game simulates that ringing noise that has become so popular in the movies. With these headphones the game really doesn’t need to bother. They really should have a warning about having the volume turned up all the way. The Microphone worked flawlessly, using both the in game VOIP and Team Speak I was easily heard as I cried for help when I was pinned down.

Next up was EVE-Online, missile explosion came though clean and crisp, EVE’s in game VOIP service is one of the higher end services I have seen in any game with quality that rivals that of any third part program out there. I could easily hear my fleet commander call primary targets. As well as the

For music, I tried a couple things. First I logged into my XM account and spend a couple hours enjoying everything from classical music, where every string and horn could easily be identified, to heart pounding rock, listening to Tool with these headphones is pretty awesome. At no time did the speakers distort or crackle. The audio was clear and crisp, to further confirm that I loaded up some lossless audio files, cranked up the volume and again I was treated to a thoroughly enjoyable audio experience.
