When we first received the test kit from our man at Intel we built it with the parts that came with it as that was how it was intended to be built. These are the pics from our first build using the Zalman coolers in an air-cooled environment. Anthony did not have to do much modification to get this build going; we also initially used a CooleMaster Pro 1000w PSU until we realized it was not enough juice to power this beastly creature. The Zalman coolers were a bit of a pain to get on, but worked okay for air. After seeing the CPU and system temps that were not outrageous, but were most assuredly at the border we started to fathom the idea of a better cooling solution for this find system.
