Microsoft Sidewinder Gaming Mouse Review :: Installation

Author: Jonathan Russell · 01-22-2008 · Category: Hardware - Misc

Installing this mouse worked like any other Microsoft product, they are the standard when it comes to plug and play. Of course if you want to play right you need to download the Microsoft IntelliPoint software. Once installed this gives you the ability to utilize the special features like the games hotkey and macro button.

The software itself installed just fine in Vista, I actually used it with Vista 64 which to some surprise was also flawless.

After about ten minutes of playing around I settled on twenty five grams of weight in the mouse and the black skid pads on the bottom. I found this configuration to give me the weight and resistance that felt the most comfortable.
