Being that this is a monitor the testing procedures are all on a personal basis and not canned like 3Dmark and such that give out scores a monitor has to be used in a number of different environments to actually see how well it is to use and how it is on the eyes. I wrote this review on this monitor as well as watched a few DVD movies and a lot of FPS and RTS game titles. The HDMI connection had me thinking I was crazy for a moment as most monitors will auto-select the HDMI, but on the D24W33 you have to select the HDMI input for the monitor to detect the cable. I used the monitor with my ATI Digital to HDMI connector and a gold monster HDMI cable, as well as directly from the VGA card and through a KVM switch as well with excellent results. Text was surprisingly very clear and movies looked good in a low lighted room, the 250 nits of brightness tends to get washed out by strong backlighting, but it also helps alleviate eyestrain for those who stare at text all day.
