 Monitor Front
The new V7 D24W33 24 monitor offers the user many options and features that make it appealing to a broad spectrum of users. Having a default resolution of 1920x1200 means having a lot of desktop real estate, but be forewarned the monitor does not like to be run outside of its default resolution in many games and will run best at that setting. For those who hate the small desktop icons and text that come along with this resolution a few changes to the way Windows is viewed can be a lifesaver. Changing the default Icon and Text setting to large or larger in the control panel will eliminate the problems of those pesky small hard to see things that come with high-resolutions. Clarity however is excellent at these resolutions and with personal visual modifications to your taste even better.
Monitor Back Height Adjustment Headphone Jack
Sizing in at 20.4X12.7 mm this monitor occupies a lot of desktop real estate and features a 16:10 Widescreen Aspect Ratio for watching movies and gaming. Some people may be put off by the lack of digital connection, but most quality VGA cards come with a DVI-HDMI converter so this should help alleviate that complaint as well as the fact that all the new ATI 2900 and above series cards from Diamond and others support HDMI natively. The monitor can be wall mounted and offers tilt, swivel and height adjustments that make this monitor very ergonomic as not everybody has the same requirements as to placement and viewing. The monitor comes in two pieces out of the box, the panel and the base and you simply connect the panel to the base to complete assembly.
 Tilt O Rama
Made of solid black plastic, this is a pretty well put together product and nothing feels cheap about it in any way. The base is very sturdy and has cable management loops on its backside to keep the mess of wandering cables to a minimum. Power consumption is at 70 watts and the monitor contain two built in speakers as well as a headphone jack, which I feel is the better feature of the two from a gamers standpoint as it eliminates the need for a long cable that runs from your phones to the phone jack. Onboard speakers are notorious for being a just adequate sound solution, and just fine for the office or non gamer user. You can adjust the monitor easily enough via its front panel control buttons and this makes for very easy adjustments to the way you view your screen. Only Analog connections offer the full control of the monitors settings manually, the digital HDMI connection is controlled more through the Windows VGA control applet than the front panel interface.
