This is the standard test bench we use for video card testing, all cards were tested on the system listed above and ran three times and then balanced for better accuracy. We ran all tests in Microsoft Vista Home Premium and had excellent results in stability and performance, MS XP may be faster in some instances of testing, but XP does not natively support DX10 so we use Vista as our standard test OS across the board. All tests ran fine even in a continuous loop of 3Dmark 06 in a 24hr time period as a burn in procedure just like when you buy a new PC. We used the latest available driver from NVIDIA for the 8800GT right off their website.
